The owners of a 2014 Subaru contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen after the keys were taken during a residential burglary in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru. Within 4 minutes, officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Subaru with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Subaru to a residential neighborhood located near the 4000 block of Acacia Street in Riverside. The LoJack® System was installed in the Subaru XV Cross Trek in December 2013 at Singh Chevrolet Suzuki Subaru in Riverside, California.
