The owners of a 2014 Doosan Compressor contacted the Richmond Police Department to report that their Compressor was stolen from a storage yard in Richmond, California.

The Richmond PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Doosan Compressor. A short while later deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Compressor with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, deputies tracked the stolen compressor to a business in Alameda County. The investigation revealed that business where the compressor was recovered was an innocent third party who unknowingly bought the compressor from the thief. The investigation is on-going. The owners of the Doosan Compressor were notified of its recovery and made arrangements to recover it.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Doosan Compressor in November 2013 via Commercial Sales.
