The owners of a 2008 Acura TSX contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

A short while later officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Acura to a residential neighborhood located in the area of 8th and E Street in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura TSX in December 2007 at Kearny Mesa Acura in San Diego, California.
