The owner of a 2014 Nissan Altima contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her residence in the city of Spring Valley.

The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within 20 minutes Deputies from the San Diego County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Deputies tracked the Nissan to a commercial area located at the 8900 block of Jamacha Avenue in Spring Valley.   A suspect was seen exiting the Nissan and he was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in September 2014 at Mossy Nissan in National City, California.
