The owners of a 2010 Toyota contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within 17 minutes officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential neighborhood located at Canterbury and California Street in Riverside. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in June 2009 at Toyota of Temecula Valley in Temecula, California.
