The owners of a Honda Civic contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Moreno Valley.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within 7 minutes Deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Deputies tracked the Honda to a residential neighborhood located at Atwood and Perris Street in Moreno Valley. Two suspects were arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic LX in March 2000 at Honda of Santa Ana in Santa Ana, California.
