The owners of a 2014 Ford Fiesta contacted the Pueblo Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home three days earlier.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Fiesta.

Just 13-minutes later a Trooper with the Colorado State Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  An officer with the Pueblo PD also picked up the signal just minutes later.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Fiesta to the area of Lamar and King Streets where the vehicle was located.

A suspect has been identified and the investigation is continuing.  The Fiesta was promptly recovered and returned to the happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fiesta in August 2014 at Spradley Ford Lincoln, in Pueblo, Colorado.
