The owners of a 2010 Toyota Corolla contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen during the night from the parking lot of their apartment complex. The Fresno PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

About twenty minutes later an officer from the Fresno PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Toyota to the 1500 block of west Ashlan Avenue in northwest Fresno. The Toyota was found unoccupied and abandoned in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

The Toyota was recovered intact and undamaged; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in February 2011 by the Fahrney Automotive Group in Selma, California.
