The owner of a 2006 Chevrolet HHR contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The Fresno PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

About ten minutes later an officer from the Fresno PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Chevrolet to the vicinity of McKinley Avenue and Freeway 99 in northwest Fresno. Officers conducted surveillance on the Chevrolet and a short time later an adult female approached and got into the vehicle. The female was detained and later arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The Chevrolet was recovered intact and undamaged; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet in February 2015 at Fresno Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Fresno, California.
