The owners of a 1999 Honda Civic contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report that their Honda Civic was stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

The stolen Honda was tracked with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) when it picked up the silent LoJack signal from Honda.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Honda was tracked to a shopping center in the area of Sunset and Bridge located in the South Area Command.  The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department deputies found the Honda to be unoccupied with damage to the ignition.

The stolen Honda was recovered for the second time utilizing the LoJack® System and will be released to the owner.
