The owners of a 2015 Ford Escape contacted the Glendale Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Thirteen (13) minutes later, patrol officers from the Simi Valley Police Department  picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford on a LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC), that are installed in their units. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Ford was tracked to the area of Cochran Street and Sycamore Street. The Ford was parked in a shopping center and had been abandoned by the suspect.

The Ford was recovered and impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford in November 2014 at Star Ford in Glendale, California.
