The owner of this Nissan 350 contacted the Los Angeles Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within less than 30 minutes from the activation, deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office Hesperia picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies assisted by SBSO Air-40King 6 tracked the Nissan from Bear Valley and 2nd to Bear Valley and Hesperia Ave where they observed the vehicle moving in a parking lot of a shopping center.  A felony traffic stop was initiated and the driver arrested without further incident.  The driver was later booked on felony charges and the undamaged Nissan was stored for safe keeping.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Nissan in March 2006 at Metro Nissan in Montclair, California.
