The owner of 2007 Jaguar XK8 contacted the Austin Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen.  This Jaguar was loaded onto a car transport with the keys in it.  The car transport was parked overnight in a parking lot in Austin.  When the driver returned to the car transport the following morning, he noticed that the Jaguar was missing.

The Austin PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

Twelve minutes later, officers with the Austin PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that is installed in their vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Jaguar to a retail store and found it abandoned in the parking lot behind the store.  It was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar in May of 2006 at Galpin Jaguar-Lincoln-Volvo in Van Nuys, California.
