The owner of this Hyundai Tucson contacted the Inglewood Police Department and reported that vehicle had been stolen. Apparently the Hyundai was stolen from a hotel parking lot while the victim was at a conference. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai.

Within less than 15 minutes from the activation, ground units and flight officers from the Los Angeles Police Department Air-3 picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hyundai with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the flight officers tracked the Hyundai to the Hollenbeck area of Los Angeles and located the vehicle parked on Homer St and Ave 43rd.  Officers from the Hollenbeck Division responded and recovered the Hyundai noting the only damage was to the steering column. The victim had just purchased this new Hyundai only 14 days prior to being stolen and was extremely happy he had purchased LoJack. No suspects were located. The Hyundai was stored at a local tow agency for safe keeping and later released to the victim.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Hyundai in February 2015 at Auto Land 138 in La Mesa, California.
