The owners of a 2014 Toyota Corolla contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station to report their vehicle was stolen.

The LASD Norwalk verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Only six minutes later deputies from the LASD Lakewood picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Toyota to the 16800 block of Pioneer Blvd. in the city of Artesia.  They found the Toyota abandoned and undamaged.  The Toyota was recovered and later returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in June 2014 at Penske Toyota in Downey, California.
