The owners of a 2014 Honda Civic contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division to report their vehicle was stolen.

The LAPD Harbor Division verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Only seven minutes later officers from the LAPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the area of Bandini and Summerland, where they found the Honda parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Honda was recovered and returned to the owner at the scene.  This is the third time this Honda has been stolen and recovered. On each occasion the Honda was tracked and recovered utilizing the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in January 2014 at Carson Honda in California.
