The owners of a 2014 Ford Fusion contacted the Los Angeles Police Department-West Los Angeles Division to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Seven (7) minutes later, the LASD-West Hollywood patrol deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol units. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack PTC, the Ford was tracked to the area of the 9000 block of Sunset Blvd, in the City of Beverly Hills. The deputies conducted a felony traffic stop, and took the suspect into custody for the stolen Ford without incident.

The Ford was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford on October 2013.
