The owner of this Toyota Camry contacted the Pasadena Police Department and reported that vehicle had been stolen. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within minutes from the activation, officers from San Marino Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle into the city of South Pasadena. The vehicle was spotted traveling E/B on Grevelia Street towards Fair Oaks Ave.  The tracking officer continued following the vehicle S/B on Fair Oaks at which time a felony traffic stop was initiated with assisting units. A female adult driver was taken into custody without further incident. She was later booked VC 10851 driving a motor vehicle without owner’s permission and receiving stolen property.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Toyota Camry in January 2010.
