The owners of a 2009 Nissan Frontier contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Vista.

San Diego police County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Frontier.

Minutes later, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Nissan Frontier with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to North Twin Oaks Valley Road and East San Marcos Blvd. in San Marcos.  A female was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Frontier in August 2009.
