The owner of this GMC Sierra contacted the Fresno Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their residence. The Fresno Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the now stolen GMC.

Just nine minutes after the LoJack® System was activated, investigators with Fresno HEAT, the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force, picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computer installed in their undercover vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computer, the investigators tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Maple and Hamilton in southeast Fresno. The vehicle was found abandoned on the side of the road in a residential area. The thieves had stolen construction tools from the back of the pickup but the vehicle was otherwise recovered intact and undamaged. The vehicle was released to the owner at the scene.
The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this GMC in May 2006 by the Fahrney Automotive Group in Selma, CA.
