The owner of a 2006 NISSAN ALTIMA contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her residence in the city of Spring Valley.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® transponder concealed in the Nissan.

Within minutes, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System  installed in the stolen Nissan Altima with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to a residential area located  near Campo Road and South Bonita Road in the city of Spring Valley.

The LoJack® Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Nissan Altima on December 9, 2005 in National City California.
