The owner of a 2008 MERCEDES BENZ C350 contacted the El Cajon Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of El Cajon.

El Cajon Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® transponder concealed in the Mercedes.

Soon after, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System  installed in the stolen Mercedes C350 with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to a park and ride lot at the 2300 block of Sweetwater Road in the city of National City.

The LoJack® Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Mercedes Benz C350 on September 13, 2007 in San Diego California.
