The owners of a 2013 Ford Transit Connect contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department-Lancaster Station to report that their vehicle was stolen.

LASD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

7 minutes later, LASD “Air 29” flight officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Ford on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers installed in their air units. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the vehicle was tracked to the area of the 14 Freeway and Ave F. LASD-Lancaster patrol units responded to the location and recovered the undamaged vehicle.

The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Transit Connect Van on 09/05/14 at Galpin Ford, in the city of North Hills, CA.
