The owner of this Dodge contacted the Porterville Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. The Porterville Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

About nine hours after the LoJack® System was activated, investigators from TRATT, the Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers installed in their undercover vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the investigators tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Road 162 and Highway 137, a rural area in eastern Tulare County. The investigators located the vehicle unoccupied and abandoned on a ditch bank near a large field of alfalfa. The victim’s vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged. It was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Dodge by Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix, Arizona in November of 2006.
