The owner of this Nissan Frontier contacted the Kern County Sheriff’s Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. The Kern County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the now stolen Nissan.

Less than an hour after the LoJack® System was activated, a deputy with the Kern County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computer installed in his patrol vehicle. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computer, the deputy tracked the vehicle to a residential area near Serrano St. and Arroyo Ave. in the city of Mojave. The deputy located the vehicle unoccupied and abandoned in a vacant field. The victim’s vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged. It was returned to the owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Nissan Pickup by Lancaster Honda in Lancaster, California in February 2008
