On a recent Monday, a Toyota Camry was discovered missing in Los Angeles, CA. Local police, with assistance from the LoJack® System that was installed when the car was purchased, recovered it in less than an hour after activation.

The Toyota’s owners contacted local police on July 7th, 2014. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

43 minutes later, a police flight crew picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their air unit. The Toyota was tracked to the area of Wilshire Blvd and La Brea Ave. Ground units responded to the area and found the vehicle parked and unoccupied. A suspect was found nearby and taken into custody. Police retrieved the Camry and soon returned it to its relieved owner.
