When a Honda Civic Hybrid was stolen in San Jose, CA on a recent Monday, its worried owner hoped for a fast recovery. That’s exactly what happened, thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system. With LoJack’s help, police located the vehicle in less than an hour after activation.

On July 7th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the San Jose Police to report that his car was stolen from his residence. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Civic Hybrid, which was installed at Keyes Woodland Hills Honda in Woodland Hills, CA.

A short while later, Pacifica PD officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Honda in a beach side lot, parked and abandoned. The undamaged Civic Hybrid was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
