The Fourth of July 2014 started out as a not-very-happy holiday for the San Jose, CA resident in this case when he discovered his 2011 Toyota Camry was missing from his home. The LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased proved its worth by helping local law enforcement recover it in less than two hours after activation, allowing this victim to relax and enjoy the rest of his weekend.

The Camry’s owner reported the crime to the San Jose Police on July 4th, 2014. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Camry, which was installed at City Toyota in Daly City, CA.

A short while later, Campbell police officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Toyota to a side street in Campbell where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Camry was soon returned to its thankful owner.
