It had only been three months since the Los Angeles, CA residents in this case had purchased their 2013 Chrysler 300 and chosen to protect it with the LoJack® system. This turned out to be a very wise choice. When the 300 was stolen, local law enforcement assisted by LoJack made a fast, safe, damage-free recovery.

On June 25th, 2014, the Chrysler’s owners contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the 300, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Gardena, CA.

A short while later, the crew of a California Highway Patrol Air-52 picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in their airship. The Chrysler was spotted traveling near Firestone and Pioneer Blvd. The air crew requested ground assistance as the vehicle turned onto Allergan and stopped. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody by ground officers. The undamaged 300 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
