In this case, a Dodge Neon stolen from its owner’s workplace in Sacramento, CA, is recovered the same day it’s stolen by police air and ground units, assisted by the LoJack® system.

On June 23rd, 2014, the Dodge’s owner contacted the Sacramento Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Neon, which was installed at Florin Road Nissan Kia in Sacramento, CA.

A short while later, a Sacramento PD helicopter crew picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their aircraft. The Dodge was parked and unoccupied near the intersection of Lone Leaf Drive and Twin Leaf Court. The flight crew directed ground units to the location. The Neon was retrieved and quickly returned to its grateful owner.
