When the owners of a Honda Civic LX discovered it had been stolen in Hanford, CA recently, they were really glad they had decided to have the LoJack® system installed when they bought their car. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement made a quick, safe, damage-free recovery.

On June 20th, 2014, the owner of the Honda contacted the Hanford Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Civic LX, which was installed at Selma Honda in Selma, CA.

The following day, officers from the Lemoore Police Department received the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers were led to an apartment complex near downtown Lemoore, where they found the unoccupied and abandoned Honda in a parking stall. The undamaged Civic LX was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
