A Ford F-250 stolen in Fresno on a recent Tuesday was recovered in just minutes thanks to some great work by local police, assisted by the LoJack® system installed in the pickup when it was purchased.

On June 3rd, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Fresno Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the F-250, which was installed at Future Ford of Clovis, CA.

Just minutes later, investigators from Fresno HEAT (the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force) picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their undercover vehicles. The investigators located the moving Ford in an industrial area near Marks Avenue and Freeway 180 in west Fresno. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was taken into custody. The F-250 was intact and undamaged; it was soon released to its relieved owner.
