The owners of a Honda Pilot noticed the SUV missing from their residence on a recent Saturday. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, the Pilot was recovered quickly, safely, and without any damage.

On June 7th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Temple Station to report their vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Pilot, which was installed at Sierra Honda in Monrovia, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a deputy from LASD Walnut Station picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle, and requested backup from an LASD air unit. The flight officers located the Honda in a drug store parking lot near Badillo Street and Azusa Ave and notified ground units from LASD San Dimas. Deputies quickly deployed on the stolen car and detained both the driver and passenger. The undamaged Honda was retrieved and soon released to its thankful owners.
