On a recent Tuesday, the Baldwin Park, CA residents in this case discovered their Honda Accord was missing from their residence. Because their car had been protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased, local law enforcement, with LoJack’s help, recovered it quickly and safely.

The Honda’s owner contacted the Baldwin Park Police to report their vehicle was stolen on May 27th, 2014. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Metro Honda in Montclair, CA.

A short while later, a Rialto PD officer picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in his patrol vehicle. He requested backup from a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department flight crew. The Honda was tracked by the flight crew to the area of Holt Avenue and North Dudley Street in Pomona. The Pomona Police and the LASD CAT Team arrived on the scene and found the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Two suspects were located with the help of area residents and taken into custody. The Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
