The Sparks, NV resident in this case had loaned his Saturn Sky to a friend who refused to return it. Because the car had been protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased, local law enforcement were able to recover it and take a suspect into custody the same day the LoJack was activated.

On June 2nd, 2014, the Saturn’s owner contacted the Reno Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Investigators verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Sky, which was installed at Saturn of Visalia, CA.

A short while later, officers with the Sparks PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Saturn traveling on Prater Way and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was taken into custody, and the Sky was soon returned to its thankful owner.
