The owner of a Honda Accord in Los Angeles, CA, discovered her car missing from her home on a recent Thursday. The vehicle was not gone for long, thanks to local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system. With LoJack’s help, police recovered the car in less than an hour after activation.

On May 29th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted local police to report that her vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Norm Reeves Honda Superstore in Cerritos, CA.

Within 31 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located while traveling on Governor Drive. A traffic stop was initiated; the driver attempted to flee but was quickly taken into custody. The Accord’s owner was thrilled to have her car returned to her in such a short time.
