The owner of a Scion tC discovered their vehicle was missing from their Riverside, CA property on a recent Monday. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased assisted local law enforcement in a fast, safe and damage free recovery.

On April 28th, 2014, the Scion’s owner contacted the Riverside Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen, and the victims believed they knew the perpetrator. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, The LoJack device concealed in the tC, which was installed at Toyota of Santa Monica, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from West Covina PD were picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Scion was found parked at a service station on West Covina Parkway. A male standing near the car was identified as the named suspect and was taken into custody. The undamaged tC was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
