The LoJack® System Helps San Diego, California Police Recover Stolen Toyota Camry SE

Discovering that your car, truck, van or motorcycle has been stolen is quite a shock. Knowing that your asset is protected with the LoJack® system makes the situation a little easier to deal with. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement has assistance in locating your stolen vehicle quickly and safely. In this case, a Toyota Camry stolen in San Diego, CA is recovered in less than a half hour after activation.

On May 5th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Mossy Toyota in San Diego, CA.

Within seven minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was found parked and abandoned on Elder St. Police retrieved the undamaged Camry and soon returned it to its relieved owners.
