When a Dodge Durango SLT was taken from its owner’s residence in Pine Valley, CA, the LoJack® system that was installed when the SUV was purchased proved its value by helping local law enforcement recover it later that same day.

On February 3rd, 2014, the Dodge’s owner contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report his vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Durango SLT, which was installed at Moss Motors Dodge in Riverside, CA.

A short while later, deputies from the San Diego CSD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Dodge was tracked to a residential area near Pomerado Road and Interstate I-15 in San Diego. The deputies retrieved the Durango and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
