Assisting law enforcement with the fast, safe recovery of stolen cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles is the purpose of the LoJack® system. In this case, a Honda Odyssey stolen in San Diego, CA is recovered in less than a half hour after activation by local police assisted by LoJack.

On April 29th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Odyssey, which was installed at Tipton Honda in El Cajon, CA, was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen minivan on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located on West Street in San Diego. Police retrieved the Odyssey and soon returned it to its appreciative owner.
