The LoJack® system is a great way to protect your car, truck, van or motorcycle because it helps law enforcement locate your vehicle whether it’s parked out in the open, hidden in a building or under a cover, or even traveling down the highway. In this case, a Toyota Tundra stolen from its owner’s residence in El Cajon, CA, is recovered by local law enforcement assisted by LoJack.

On April 5th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the El Cajon Police Department to report that his pickup was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Tundra, which was installed at Claremont Toyota in Claremont, CA.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the El Cajon PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was located on Orange Avenue, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The Tundra’s owner was thrilled to have his undamaged pickup returned to him in such a short time.
