On a recent Saturday, a Chevrolet TrailBlazer was stolen after its owner parked it on the street in San Francisco, CA. It was not gone for long, thanks to the effective teamwork of local law enforcement with help from the LoJack® system installed in the SUV. With LoJack’s assistance, police recovered the vehicle in just over two hours after activation.

On May 3rd, 2014, the Chevy’s owner contacted the San Francisco Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the TrailBlazer, which was installed at Mike Daugherty Chevrolet in Sacramento, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, San Leandro Police picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Chevrolet was located on a side street in San Leandro, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged TrailBlazer was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owner.
