When their Acura Integra was stolen from a parking lot in Philadelphia, PA recently, its owners were very grateful that there was a LoJack® system installed inside their car. With LoJack’s assistance, local law enforcement located the vehicle later that same day.

On May 1st, 2014, the Acura’s owners reported the crime to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Integra, which was installed at North Penn Volkswagen in Colmar, PA.

A short while later, investigators from the Philadelphia PD Major Crimes Auto Squad picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their undercover vehicle. The Acura was found in a rear alley near North 7th Street, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The officers recovered the Integra and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
