This case involved a Honda Civic stolen from the owner’s residence in Sanger, CA, on a recent Wednesday. Thanks to the efforts of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system installed inside the vehicle, it was recovered later that same day.

On April 30th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Sanger Police Department to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Civic, which was installed by Power Honda of Costa Mesa, CA.

Several hours later, an officer from the Fresno PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Honda was located in a residential area near Peach and Belmont Avenues in southeast Fresno, where it was parked and unoccupied in front of a residence. Fresno C-CAT (Career Criminal Auto Thieves) team members responded to the location and identified a male suspect who was arrested. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its happy owners.
