The owner of a 2009 Honda Civic in Vacaville, CA, was shocked to find her vehicle missing from her apartment complex parking lot on a recent Friday. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased proved its worth by helping local law enforcement recover it quickly, safely, and without any damage.

On April 18th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Vacaville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Tracy Honda in Tracy, CA.

Just minutes later, officers with the Vacaville PD Department picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located at a building on Harbison Drive, where it was found parked and abandoned in the lot. The undamaged Civic was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
