The LoJack® System Helps Hayward, California Police Recover Stolen Infiniti G35

On a recent Wednesday morning, a Hayward, CA resident discovered that her Infiniti G35 was missing from her driveway, where she had parked it the previous evening. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, local law enforcement recovered it that same day.

On April 9^th, 2014, the Infiniti’s owner contacted the Hayward Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the G35, which was installed at Crest Auto Group in Plano, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Hayward PD officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Infiniti was located at an intersection in east Hayward where it was stopped in traffic. Officers pulled the car over and arrested the driver. The G35 was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owner.
