In this case, a Lexus GS300 was stolen in Sacramento, CA and recovered less than an hour later, thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system.

On April 6th, 2014, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Sacramento Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the GS300, which was installed at Lexus of Roseville, CA.

Less than an hour later, officers with the Sacramento PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Lexus was located near the intersection of 27th and F Streets where it was parked and abandoned at the curb. The undamaged GS300 was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
