The Concord, CA resident in this case discovered her Toyota Highlander missing from her home on a recent Sunday. The LoJack® system that was installed when the SUV was purchased proved its worth by helping local police recover it, without damage, in less than a half hour after activation.

On April 6th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Concord Police Department to report that her SUV was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Highlander, which was installed at Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Concord PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was located on a side street in Concord, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Highlander was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owner.
