The owner of a Toyota Camry had parked it on the street in San Francisco, CA. When she returned, the vehicle was gone. The LoJack® system she had installed when she purchased her car proved its worth by helping local police recover it without damage that same day.

On March 29th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted San Francisco Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Toyota Central in Los Angeles, CA.

A short while later, San Francisco PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Toyota on a side street in the Mission District of San Francisco where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Camry was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
