San Diego, California Police Recover Stolen Saturn Vue Assisted by the LoJack® System

When the San Diego, CA resident in this case discovered his Saturn Vue missing from his residence, he was glad that there was a LoJack® system installed when his car was purchased. It took local law enforcement, with help from LoJack, less than 15 minutes after activation to recover it.

On March 5th, 2014, the Saturn’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Vue, which was installed at Galpin Auto Group in North Hills, CA.

Within five minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Saturn to Glidden Street in San Diego, where a suspect was taken into custody. The undamaged Vue was retrieved and soon returned to its very happy owner.
